Background Information

Missouri Family Care Safety Registry

Ollie Hinkle Heart Foundation (OHHF) receives funding in part from a local government agency that requires the Missouri Family Care Safety Registry (FCSR) to screen all OHHF employees, volunteers, and professional service providers who provide direct services to Missouri children and youth on an annual basis for child abuse and neglect, regardless of whether the services are provided in the funded program.

As an OHHF program volunteer, you must obtain your screening results by completing the steps under A or B below, as applicable.

A - For first-time registrants:

To register, go to https://healthapps.dhss.mo.gov/BSEES/Main.aspx. Instructions for online registration can be found at https://health.mo.gov/safety/fcsr/pdf/registrationinstructions.pdf. The cost to register is $15. One of the first steps in the instructions is to verify that you are not registered. If this step reveals you are already registered, stop there and follow the instructions below in “B - For those who have registered previously.” If this step reveals you are not registered, proceed with registration as follows:

- On the “Employer Information” tab, skip the employer-name search. Instead, select  “Other” in the “Select if No Employer” dropdown menu.

- On the “Register” tab, select “Voluntary” as the registration type.

Once your registration is completed and processed, your introductory screening results will be sent in an encrypted email. You may print or save the screening results letter attached to the email. Please forward a copy of these screening results to ohhfvolunteer@theohhf.org

B - For those who have registered previously:

The FCSR allows anyone with a completed and up-to-date registration to request a self-screening. The quickest way to request a self-screening is by calling the FCSR toll-free line, 866-422-6872, on weekdays between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. CT. Tell them you are registered and want a copy of your current screening results. The FCSR will deliver your self-screening results by encrypted email, and you may print or save the screening results letter attached to the email. Please forward a copy of these screening results to ohhfvolunteer@theohhf.org.
